The City of Capitola is excited to announce a regional bike-share program between Capitola, UCSC, Cabrillo College, the County of Santa Cruz, and the cities of Watsonville and Santa Cruz is about to come to fruition. On April 8th the regional bikeshare will go live in Capitola with 50 e-bikes, 18 docking locations, and 100 docks within Capitola city limits. The BCycle business model includes dock-to-dock service (meaning rides are dock-to-dock, and bikes will not be abandoned by riders) and attractive pricing. Residents and visitors alike will be able to rent (by hour or other longer subscription) e-bikes and ride from dock-to-dock within City limits or nearly any other docking location throughout most of Santa Cruz County. Once installation of the regional system is completed there will be 660 e-bikes and 1320 docks available from USCS to Watsonville..
