Village and Neighborhood Parking Permits

There are four different types of residential parking permits - each with different rules, but each requires a parking permit that can be obtained from the Police Department. Parking permits are strictly enforced.

Seasonal Neighborhood Parking Permits

Enforcement of seasonal residential parking permits begins May 20th and through September 20th.

Coffee and Surf Permits - The cost for this permit increased to $55.00

Capitola offers a coffee and surf permit that allows a vehicle to park in the village from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, 7 days a week. You do not have to be a resident of Capitola. This permit is available for purchase at the Capitola Police Department.

Village Merchant/Employee Parking Permit Guidelines

Village Employee Parking Permit Program

The Village Employee Parking Permit Program allows employees to purchase parking permits for the Lower Beach and Village Parking Lot behind City Hall on a monthly basis. The permits are valid during all hours that the parking meters are operating. The cost of the permits is $5 per month. There is also a $1.50 per month service fee charged by Parkmobile that processes the permits.

To purchase a permit, you must obtain a code from your employer.
